And, of course a resourceful sailorman would not let the lack of a corkscrew stand between himself and his tipple – but then the joke would not have worked.

Finally, we all know the unpleasant feeling when laying down drunk and the room spins round – well Abie knows how bad it is when that doesn’t happen.  I can only imagine the trauma.
