Moonstruck
Cartoon strip first published in WARSHIPS International Fleet Review magazine in October 2012.
Of course, we all know that the creation of tidal movement on Earth, of both seas and land masses, is much more complicated than just the effects of the moon on its own. The springs and neaps that Os thinks does it all are just two of the necessary effects, including winds, weather, weathermen and women, magic, trolls and the reactions to too much Uckers at any one time.
And, of course again, since the exploration kicked off so splendidly with the efforts of Neil Armstrong et al, we know that it is perfectly possible that someone/thing lives on the moon without the need to come down to Earth every day to work. They could be part-timers, or even on state benefits and not need to work, ever. A little imagination will always provide satisfactory answers to the great mysteries of life. Ask any preacher.
